Detours of Depression - Kitty will share her journey through depression while on mission in London. What do you do when you're the one that is supposed to have the answers, but having nothing but questions?
Detours of Depression - PJ has worked intervening in crisis and trauma situations. For over 35 years, she has helped guide people through the unthinkable trials of life. Her work includes service during the Oklahoma City bombing, 911 attack on the World Trade Center and countless individual crises all over the Midwest. These have included the darkest sides of depression. PJ will share from the reality of her experience and offer relevant resources.
2012 Speakers
Darryl was wrongfully accused for a murder he did not commit and lost 24 years of his life because of a wrongful incarceration. He studied the law in pursuit of his freedom including legal research, preparing legal briefs and filing motions with the courts, while trying to prove his innocence. In 1998 Darryl put his trust in God and made a number of contributions to society while incarcerated. Three years ago, Darryl was fully exonerated.
After a successful Major League Baseball career with the Montreal Expos, the Seattle Mariners, and the Cincinnati Reds, Brian was forced to retire due to an arm injury. Brian began his business career in 1995 and joined Ronald Blue & Co. in 2000. April 20, 1990, was one of the most famous games in Mariners history The Mariners were playing Oakland. Brian retired 26 straight batters leaving just one batter to become the 13th pitcher in history to throw a perfect game.
Is a Hispanic, bilingual attorney, with a statewide practice in the State of Kansas and over 30 years of courtroom experience. He specializes in the area of Personal Injury cases. He has offices in Kansas City, Kansas and in Dodge City, Kansas. Alberto also hosts a weekly radio show in Spanish called "Hablando De Leyes"s on Kansas City 1250 AM La X and in Western Kansas 101.5 and 92.9 FM.

Harry has a diverse professional background including a private practice of Psychiatry for over 30 years, Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Chairman of the Addiction Recovery Unit, both at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He has conducted seminars for physicians and others, dealing with stress and improving personal effectiveness at home, work and marriage
No matter your age or occupation, you'll be inspired by the story of a couple's intentional focus on their family's involvement in its community both domestically and internationally. Out of that focus came Anna's "Heart for Haiti" passion.
Richard’s career experience runs the gamut from thirteen years with industry giant, Ford Motor Company, to fifteen years of running his own small business. Today, his custom-training has been chosen for the Department of Defense and Richard trains leaders at Johnson Space Center, Stennis Space Center, Georgia Institute of Technology, and the Universities of Georgia, Illinois and Oklahoma State. He continues a respected counseling practice in Kansas City.
Brandon Beyeris the owner of Renewit Construction Company and is the Worship Leader at Village Community Church. In May, 2011 Brandon's band SouthWind was selected to be on Cracker Barrel's Best New Nashville an album of tunes put together by Teddy Gentry. Early last year, God spoke to Brandon through an 80 year old man named Raymond. As a result of Raymond’s wise advice and God’s transforming power Brandon’s life was set in a new direction.

Kevin Seitzer was a two-time American League All-Star, appearing in the 1987 and 1995 games. Following a September call-up in 1986 with the Royals. Kevin was the hitting coach for the Kansas City Royals since October 13, 2008. Kevin was the hitting coach for the eventual N.L. West Champion Arizona Diamondbacks, in the first half of the 2007 season. He co-owns and operates Mac-N-Seitz, an extremely successful year-around baseball and softball training facility in Kansas City.
Pat McCown is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of McCownGordon Construction, a Kansas City-based construction company recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine and Dun & Bradstreet as one of the fastest- growing companies in the nation.
Ron Keith is CEO/Founder of Arbor Masters Tree & Landscape Inc., a regional provider of residential/commercial tree and grounds maintenance services, headquartered in Shawnee, Kansas. Ron is a third generation owner of the company that just celebrated 50 years in the business. He has been involved in the tree care industry since a young age performing all phases of the business.
Judge James Smart began his legal career in 1969 as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Jackson County. In 1970, he joined the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps and he worked as a military judge in 1973 and 1974. After this, he ran a private law practice for 17 years, until his appointment to the Court of Appeals in 1991 where he serves today.
Dan is the founder and chief servant leader of People Matter Ministries, Author, “Finding Your Greater Yes!” and “God Loves Do Overs”, has served as Pastor at four dynamic churches, Executive with Promise Keepers and the National Coalition of Men’s Ministries and author of The People Matter Blog and “An Unstoppable Force: A Christian Manifesto.”
Carey Casey is Chief Executive Officer of the Kansas City-based National Center for Fathering, joining the Center in March, 2006. Through his work across the country, Casey has earned a reputation as a dynamic communicator, especially on the topic of men being good fathers. He’s known as a compassionate ambassador, particularly within the American sports community. He is also author of the book, Championship Fathering – How to Win at Being a Dad (2009).
Since 1987 Tim Harmon has been “Building Relationships before Buildings”. That was the year that Tim founded Harmon Construction Company, a Design/Build, Construction Management and General Contacting firm. Since that time Harmon has grown into one of the “Top 25 Commercial Contractors” per the KC Business Journal, the Kansas City Star and Ingram’s Magazine. Other companies that Tim operates include Harmon Real Estate Holdings LLC and Intermodal Hub LLC.
Larry Powell began a long career in the financial industry in 1972 working for several financial institutions in Texas and Kansas. He is the co-founder and senior partner of FCM, an investment management firm serving a number of large institutional clients.
